Sound is the core of Football experience —so why are we ignoring it?

When we think about football emotions, we picture the goals, the rivalries, the faces in the crowd. But what if the real experience lies in a more immersive emotion?

The sound.

Not the commentary. The noise. The chants. The energy in the stadium. That’s what truly defines the stadium experience. However, for fans watching from home, the experience isn’t the same since the sound can’t be felt through a screen.

At the Next In event by ACCIONA Carlos Carrión (advisor to Real Madrid) noted that clubs still struggle to bring stadium energy into remote viewing. Football events need more than a big screen. They need to create immersive, sound-driven experiences. Without the crowd noise, the experience feels incomplete.

Sound is the biggest opportunity in live activations around sports events. Who will be bold enough to turn the stadium experience into an immersive event?
